How did you feel reading this book?  Were you amused, intrigued, confused, disappointed......?

Her father told her, “You know as well as I do that we don’t decide which hand we are dealt, only the way we play it.  Do you agree?  And.....Do you agree that when the other player is cheating, the rules of the game don’t apply anymore?
Talk about the contrast between the two lifestyles Lydia experienced.  Have you ever been in a situation where things were drastically different and you had to make decisions based on the current circumstances?  How did that make you feel?  Do you think she was faithful to her convictions, at least in the end?

One review said this book is a “delightful story of people making their plans but ultimately God guiding their steps.....a story filled with dire circumstances and divine intervention.”   Would you agree?
